When cities are redeveloped they there is a true experiential false dilemma....yes a paradox!

They either fall into these three made up categories.

1)Totally destroyed and rebuilt for function,

2) In need of modernisation and then inspired by cities rebuilt for function,

3) Cities built partially for function but staying true to an enthusiastic belief in the value of it's heritage and architectural past. 

My city for years was 2 but I think it might be on it's way to 3. 

To put it simply when applying this logic to yourself. Make sure that on the road to self improvement you don't lose your beautiful bits. Inside and out. 

If you don't see anything beautiful then you are not looking hard enough.
